Amor Jones'
The Wake Up Show featured on
Pigeons And Planes.
I’m starting to learn how to filter through emails pretty well since I started blogging for P&P. And through my filtering journey I came across some tracks from a Mr. Amor Jones that I liked. Amor Jones follows his previous project Epic Failure with The Wake Up Show in hopes to show his growth when it comes to rapping and dedicating himself to the art.. Below is my favorite track off of the mixtape called "First to the Finish Line."
Amor Jones' "Right Now" covered on
A New Band A Day.
It’s a sad truth that there’s very little hip-hop on ANBAD – and it’s not for want of trying, honest. It’s just that I feel so… disconnected from hip-hop these days. I can stop whining now though, because Amor Jones’ Right Now is the most exuberantly fun song I’ve heard for ages. In a world of bland ‘n’ insulting idiot-hop, Amor Jones has made a song that lives, breathes and skips, all the while with a smile on his face. Ace!
Amor Jones' "Right Now" covered on
Internet Goon:
This could be Amor's best song in my opinion. Sounds like it could be on an album for him. He's doing it right now though.
Amor Jones' EP featured as part of the
Artiste Watch series:
Amor Jones does not try too hard to be something he isn’t. Listening to Amor Jones rap over the well chosen beats, it becomes apparent he has developed his own style and uses it to perfection even when he freestyles. This EP definitely serves as an excellent wake up call to an artiste with great potential to become an amazing artiste with a future in hip hop. The AmorJones.com EP comes recommended and I shall definitely be keeping my ears out on the street for more of his music.
A smaller hip-hop blog called
Two Phresh had this to say after hearing Amor Jones music:
This dude is NUTS! Got put on by a fellow dope emcee, the homie Jean P, and now I need more of this dude’s music…like now……No, really…NOW! This track is niceeeee definitely one for the hip-hop heads of the world.
